Flickering on reddit and videos?

I have purchased a HP 25F monitor. Since I have used this monitor I realized i get massive flickering using Firefox. The flickering only seems to appear when on reddit (lesser so twitter and even less on youtube) while scrolling/using videos. When I hover over the video to preview future scenes it REALLY flickers fast and hard. This issue occurs nearly instantly or within one minute and then continues. The only solution I've found is to disable hardware acceleration. This flickering DOES NOT occur on chrome for the limited time I've been using it (1 hour and maybe more now unfortunately)and does not require hardware acceleration to be disabled. This issues also DOES NOT occur while on my old dell monitor or my very old tv. Any ideas or help? Chrome is so much slower and worse than firefox and I do not want to have to use both browsers nor return this new monitor! Thank you.
