To remove your Firefox account from your browser, do the following:

1. Type about:preferences in your Firefox address bar
2. Select Firefox Account from the sidebar
3. Click the Disconnect... button next to your account

You can toggle this pref to false on the about:config page to disable Sync in Firefox 60+.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.

There is no Firefox Account on the page I get when I type about:preferences in the Firefox address bar. I have checked the spelling multiple times.

When I use about:config and change identity.firefox.enable to false it works, BUT when I restart the next day the crap is back in my Bookmarks Menu.

I love Firefox. It is the browser I use 99% of the time. If I can't fix this I'm going to have to stop using Firefox, which I have used for more than a decade.

I also have windows 10.
