About a week ago Firefox started having areas of pages missing, distorted, pictures running down page, etc. I thought it was a virus problem. It was time to wipe and reload my system, so I did it. Even after a complete wipe and reload Firefox is still having the problem. I'll post an example below.

Soluzione scelta

hi BarryDavidson, please try if the following can solve the problem:

  • enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up)
  • search for the preference named layers.allow-d3d9-fallback
  • double-click it and change its value to false
  • then restart the browser once...

Phillip,

Thank you for your help. I've been using Firefox for years, and was forced to use IE Explorer, a headache in itself, while this problem persisted.

Thank You Again, Barry
