Under the tools drop down I found this: Przycisk aplikacji . The arror allows you to create a new button.

A web search suggests that might be Polish that has something to do with Windows (or maybe FireFox?) in that language.

haven't figureout how to get rid of it-or get it back to an English tool that I can understand.

My OS is Win7 x 64, FireFox is 36.0.1.

I don't check the tools very often, not sure when this showed up. And my language is English with a little bit of Spanish.

In your More System Details, there's an extension with an email address under .pl, which is Poland. Maybe it's this one:

External Application Buttons 2 0.13 (externalappbutton@teo.pl)

To review, disable, and remove extensions, you can use the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions, and then they should be listed on the right side.

In some cases, there is an Options button to control an extension's behavior, so maybe in this case you can modify the menu item (if you want to keep this extension). ??

Google translate: Przycisk aplikacji -> application button So it looks that the extension either doesn't recognize your locale and fall back to Polish entity names or something else goes wrong.

What is your Windows locale?
