FF35.0.1, Win7Pro64sp1. This is a brand new machine that I have built from scratch. All drivers are the newest available from the appropriate manufactures' web sites. FF is one of the first programs I've installed, and it is acting rather oddly. For example, when I right-click in the browser window, the context menu does not appear until after I move the mouse over the space where it would normally be. Another example... when I check a box or click a radio button in the option window, the check mark or button indication doesn't change until I move the mouse over another field. I haven't installed any extensions, and haven't made any changes outside of the option window, so this is a pretty vanilla setup. All other programs on the machine seem to be working fine. Any ideas?

curtisa - I tried reinstalling FF to no effect. FredMcD - I started windows in safe mode, and that did eliminate the problem.

After pondering the situation for a while, I considered my video drivers. My motherboard is from Gigabyte, with integrated video, and so that is where I had gone for the drivers. The actual video chip is made by AMD, so I just went to the AMD web site, and they did have a newer video driver. Loading it fixed the problem. I surmise that the "latest" Gigabyte driver is buggy.

Thanks to all for the time on my behalf. Wendi

I would try re-installing Firefox.

Have you installed all the relevant Windows Updates?

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Is the problem still there?
