Firefox has never updated automatically, as I have it set for. It is version 26, and I'm trying to update to 33.1.1. When I download that version, I slide the icon to the applications folder icon, and click on "replace". I get this message: "The operation can't be completed because the item Firefox is in use." I click on Firefox to close it, but it will not close, so I cannot update it. What is wrong, and how can I update it???

It worked for me when I was finally able to close Foxfire. I still don't know why it didn't work before, but I did get to install the update! Now if only it would update automatically. Since it's set to do so but never has, I may have to check for updates and download & (hopefully) install them myself.
