That article was written for Firefox 5 and isn't applicable to Firefox 29+ versions which have a much newer version of Sync. Don't know why that article is dated February 16, 2014, as Firefox 5 was released on June 21, 2011.

Can you please upload your sync error log to Pastebin - http://pastebin.com/ - so that we can view that log?

Type about:sync-log in the Location Bar and hit Enter. Then open the latest log in a text program. Copy and paste the contents to Pastebin.

With one of these in the midst of those GET fail messages - No meta/global record on the server. Creating one.

There was a another error reported about 10 hours ago on the same server URL but for a different resource. I'll file a Bug report and hopefully someone can look into that tomorrow.
