I lost firefox profile and get an error message that the profile is missing. I could not use or load firefox so I uninstalled and reinstalled and have the same response. What do I do to get firefox back. I do have old firefox data on my desktop.

Hello MLOchoa, find the Profiles.ini file (the profile.ini file located in the profile folder path, not inside the profile) and delete it, then a new default profile will be created the next time you start the application and a new profiles.ini file will be generated that references the new profile.

type in command line : %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox then find the profile.ini file (it is a plain-text file) and delete it.

then, you can Transferring data to a new profile - Firefox from your old firefox data folder.
