Is your device's locale set to China? And is this firefox thw one you have?

I have the same problem. Some more information to make things hopefully clearer: The Google Play store is blocked in China (All Google's apps are blocked here) If you have a Chinese device there is no 'Play' app, we are have a app provided by the phone maker- in my case XiaoMi. What I have is 'Mi Market' that is the only place to download apps (we can get apk files, but I haven't found any Google apk files thst actually work) What is needed is there to be language options in the Chinese version of Firefox (I was actually surprised it didn't to be honest, hense why I'm here)

You may have installed https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cn.mozilla.firefox which is a version of Firefox produced by Mozilla China.

If you have access to the Play Store install Firefox from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mozilla.firefox

If you don't I recommend installing Firefox Aurora which has some self updating code. You can download it at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/#aurora
