I cannot sent emails. My account is a gmail one, I am using these settings i na POP3 modality:

Server Name: smtp.gmail.com Port: 587 User Name: matos@sgmr.net Authentication method: Normal password Connection Security: STARTTLS

I have used the verification tool in settings, and it establishes the connection.

However, when I try to send, I get one of these responses: "Enter your password for matos@sgmr.net on smtp.gmail.com." I enter the password and it either asks for the password again or I will get: "Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.gmail.com timed out. Try again."

Hi. I have four gmail accounts and use a desktop pc runnings windows 11. I have been using thunderbird as my desktop email client for many years, but recently, something has changed. My incoming emails are not formatted correctly and the links in them do not work. I'm not sure I am saying that correctly, so I will attach a screenshot. I would love some advice on how to fix this! I have just set up Thunderbird on a new Windows 11 PC. So far as I can tell I have filled in the server details correctly. I can receive incoming mail. However, it fails to send emails out - I have tried a couple which I know are correct. Error message is: Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: <<snip>>: Relay access denied.

Please check the message recipient "<snip>" and try again.

(I've removed the actual mail address from the error message.) I've read the answers to previous versions of this query and made the correction as suggested. This hasn't helped. Any suggestions please? Many thanks, Roger Moore

One of my email accounts will not connect. It was working but has not connected for two days. The message says log in failed for X@yahoo.com.

ich habe  seit  5  tagen  kein e.mail.   e.mail schon aber kann keine mails  verschicken.  ich musste  am 1.mai   bei magenta  mein paswort  neu eingeben  .  das funktioniert  jetzt  aber mails kann ich nicht  versenden :(

I am trying to find a program that allows me to use all the features of iCloud Mail on my Windows 11 OS . Is Thunderbird compatible with iCloud Mail ? I tired installing and using Thunderbird but it seemed that some of my sent emails were not delivered. So I uninstalled Thunderbird.

I can receive emails fine. But when I attempt to forward an email TB tries using the wrong SMTP server, and an email address that no longer exists in any email account. For example, the email is in a yahoo account and TB tries using a gmail server. I have email accounts (in TB) with gmail, yahoo, rocketmail, AOl, and verizon.net. I have verified ALL server settings for each account as correct. I first experienced this in ver. 140.8.1esr(64-bit), and updating to 140.10.1esr (64-bit) did not resolve the issue.

in den Ordnern veschwinden die mails, kommen schon mal wieder und sind dann auch mal weg.. Betrifft nur emailadresse arcor. quasi abruf bei vodafone. port und so sind richtig eingestellt. habe auch deinstaliert und neu aufgespielt keine änderung. die konten über gmail laufen ganz normal. finde den fehler nicht.

Just installed a new hard drive and windows 11. Installed Thunderbird, which I have used for years. Began receiving e-mail right away. Have tried to send several e-mails but I get an error message saying mail server responded: relay access denied Please check message recipient and try again. The e-mail for the recipient is correct and I have tried to send to others with the same result.

Do not know if it is a windows error, an smtp error or a Thunderbird error. My web host gave me the proper settings for incoming and out going mail. They are the same as I had for windows 10 which worked forever.

In the last months I have received e-mails that says one thing on the subject line but the content of the e-mail is an old e-mail from before. I can see in the Inbox that the subject and corresponden is related, but when I open the e-mail the address to the sender is different than expected and the content is from another, old, e-mail. If I use the web-interface to the service provider and log on to their server, the e-mail looks OK and I can see the content that I expected to be there. The service provider can't see any issues on their side and I don't have enough knowledge about Thunderbird, or the mailing protocol, to provide additional informtion to them about possible issues. It feels like the issue is on the client side, but what do I know... This has happened 5-6 times in the last 4 months. The service provider, Telia in Sweden, changed their mail server about a year ago. I have used Thunderbird, and the same service provider, for 20+ years.

It's been almost a week now, and my 2 Microsoft email accounts will not connect to Thunderbird anymore. All was fine for years, but something changed that I can't figure out!?! I have gone to my Microsoft email server and checked that my passwords still work. I even updated one and it works on Microsoft server but not Thunderbird's!?!? I even deleted one email account from Thunder bird to re-install it, but when I tried a fresh re-install Thunderbird still won't connect to Microsoft server??? I'm at my wits end, and may abandon Thunderbird completely if someone there doesn't help me connect!!!

My problem is that I can't get Thunderbird to work with my YouSee email account, or vice versa. I get a message that my email address or password is incorrect but they are not YouSee can't or won't help apparently I'm running Win 11

This isn't a crash, but it's an error that keeps happening as I'm typing my email. It's a problem with saving drafts. The error message reads : Error while saving draft. The configured key id "0x8DC635DD33C6A871" cannot be found on your keyring.

I can't type an email longer than say 30 seconds without this error constantly coming up until I send the email. (Needless to say I also can't save to drafts)

Uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird and same problem.

My computer was wiped and I imported my last profile when installing Thunderbird.

Would not want to lose all my email in order to start a fresh profile :(

Also, as I was went looking for the version of Thunderbird I noticed it seems to be having trouble doing an update. I'm using the release update channel.

Been using Thunderbird for 25 years and never had this issue before.

When attempting to send a web address under "file" tab using Thunderbird, there is an offering "email Link". "email link" does nothing with Windows 11 but worked with Windows 10? I have to copy and paste to send a web address to a mail recipient.
