How the [edited] do I turn automatic spam filtering off? I've literally unchecked EVERYTHING related to junk or spam, but it's still marking every [edited] email that I get as spam. Even addresses in my address book!

Hello, I'm using the latest version of Thunderbird on Windows 11 and manage three email addresses with it. I've noticed that two spam folders have suddenly been created for each email address, but only one folder is being used. How can I delete the unused spam folders?

Two email addresses are with Seuresmtp.t-online.de One email address is with Web.de Freemail-smtp.de

I'm pretty sure the scammer doesn't have my e-mail password. But how can they do this? The e-mail looked very real; it was from me and to me. The e-mail itself accused me of something, demanded a payment, and threatened to flood my e-mail with more scam messages if I didn't pay up.

All of a sudden, two email accounts that I use on Thunderbird is placing all incoming emails directly into the "Trash Folder" Other email email accounts on Thunderbird work as they should. Never changed anything and I can still send out emails from these 2 accounts that are placing everything coming into trash folder.

I recently noticed that my Thunderbird has two identical Spam folders. I deleted Thunderbird from my computer and reinstalled it but the two Spam folders are still there. When I right click either one there is no Delete option.

I've noticed a problem in which I delete emails in the Trash folder using the Empty Trash command. The folder appears empty for a while, then when I go back later to delete any new files from the Trash folder, many of the emails I've already deleted are present again. Suggestions on how to completely delete emails in the Trash folder would be appreciated.

I am being barraged by email spam by the hundreds all day and all night I have placed almost 100 filters that put the spam in the trash, but since many of my contacts wind up in the trash folder as well, i need to look through it all to verify spam, not something important.

Is there any way to keep these unwanted emails from loading?

Today, a number of my emails in the inbox were marked as suspected "spam" or "junk." These were from usual senders. What's up? Also, several items in my inbox have vanished,

I use Thunderbird on my Android Handy. Last Update a Spam-Choice was implemented to the Dropdown Menu when selected a mail. The Problem: The Spam Choice is too near to the Move Choice, so that a mistakenly mark as Spam happens very often. Can you please put the the Spam Choice to the end of the Dropdown Menu? Thanks a lot!

hello togehther, im using thunderbird for over ten years. In all that time i never deleted my trash, because it was very helpful to have acess to all the mails and data

this morning there was the notice that there is not enough space to get the new mails from the server, so i started to delete some of the oldest mails.

since then i don´t know why, the programm is very slow when you delete a mail, it takes ca 5 seconds to work again. the delete mails can not be found in the trash and all the old deleted mails can also not be found in the trash

also thunderbirds often hangs up now an needs a restart.

there is a file trash.sbd with 1,7 GB but theres also a file only named trash which has 17 GB so i think the mails are still there

Hello, In our WordPress website, we have a page dedicated to our contact form. I have it connected to the email I have in Thunderbird so I can receive the forms; however, I keep getting the error of:

Mailer: Other SMTP SMTP Error: data not accepted. SMTP server error: DATA END command failed. Detail: Your message has been rejected because you have been detected sending high likelihood spam.

I saw online that I have to contact Thunderbird to resolve this issue since they are the SMTP provider. Please let me know what I should do.

(Note: I am not a coder so if I need to do any coding, please specify where I have to go and what to click)

I've been using Thunderbird for a few months now and I have been marking email as "spam" or as "not spam" but I am finding that a lot of addresses that I mark as "not spam" still end up in my spam folder, even after marking them several times.

What I have been doing is restoring the email that I want to read back to the inbox and marking it again as "not spam". Some email that I mark as spam does get moved to the spam folder, which is fine.

Is this was happens for some considerable time or am I getting something wrong?

I find TB spam filtering pretty weak. As one example, the same spam email can come in multiple times, be marked as spam each time, yet never be caught by TB. I'm running behind - currently using release 115.18.0 - I have had no reason to upgrade until now. My question: If I update is spam filtering improved?? thx,

Dozens of emails per day from a domain with firebaseapp.com in the domain. I cannot seem to get them to go to junk or preferably block them.
