Most recently, after installing FF4, I downloaded an extension(greasemonkey) and a pop-up told me I would have to reboot to complete my installation. When I did, it had reverted to 3.6.14 How can I get 3.6.14 to go away and FF4 to stay?

I actually solved this problem. It turns out that a program named Secunia PSI was monitoring my software for insecure older versions. It has a bug and doesn't recognize firefox 4.
