New update is changing website colors

bzbutler96

The new Nova update has caused websites with bright blues to change to purple such as Amazon, USPS, Bluesky, and Nord VPN. I have tried disabling Nova in settings or changing themes but this does not help here are some image examples https://imgur.com/a/WRUAoiR

Hi bzbutler96,

If the actual colours of websites are changing, rather than just Firefox's toolbar or tabs, I'd check Firefox's Website appearance settings first.

Go to Settings > General > Appearance and look under Website appearance. If it is set to Automatic, Firefox can make websites follow the colour scheme of your Firefox theme or operating system. Try selecting Light instead and see whether the blue colours return to normal.

Also check Accessibility > Website contrast and make sure Website contrast is set to Off, since custom or forced website colours can override the colours chosen by the site.

If neither of those changes the colours, could you let us know your Firefox version and operating system? Since this started immediately after the Nova update and is happening across several unrelated websites, it would also be useful to test the same sites in Troubleshoot Mode.
