problems accessing E-Bay

Since April 27th have been various situations where this msg occurs: Access Denied You don't have permission to access ht tp :// signin.ebay.com/logout/confirm?" on this server. Reference #18.17fc3117.1778464971.41591197 An error has occurred

Although the letters in the reference can be different.

1. Trying to open E-Bay with an icon presented in Firefox for E-Pay, or searching Google for 'E-Bay Login', in Firefox, Edge, and Chrome this msg occurs. 2. If I can sign on, when opening searchers from a folder the searches:

	A. Some searches have the words, and show items for sale, but the rest have the access denied msg where the search words should appear.
Will send a pic when can sign on.

2. If E-Bay will open, sometimes all searches will load ALL with the search words visible in all tabs, but when click on a link for an item to sell, the access denied msg occurs. Sometimes a few searches will load with the name of the search in the tab, but other searches will load with the will load with the words access denied, and the mas when clicked. 3. Some website like Arkaim of some such issued this msg: Your IPv4 Address 104.187.9.142 received a bad risk score. 4. Left msg on Firefox about above, no response, left 2 msgs on E-Bay Technical Support, no response, Microsoft no help, Dell no help, AT & T sent new Gateway/Modem.

IP address changed, and IPv4 changed to IPv6. Same problem.

At & T said the old router was slower than I paid for: Speed Test 210.6, 29.7 New router 475.5, 225.8. Google AI says clear cache: Clear Cache on Desktop (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) [1, 2, 3] 1. Open Menu: Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + Delete (Mac). 2. Time Range: Select "All time" to clear everything. 3. Select Data: Check "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files". 4. Clear: Click "Clear data" or "Clear Now". 5. Restart: Close and reopen the browser. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] I saved the icon of Network & Internet, Internet Options to delete temporary files, history, cookies, saved passwords, and web info (same Thiong??????) Lastly Google AI recommended editing the DNS to Google (8.8.8.8) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1). Any danger in doing this?

1.) Akamai/Edgesuite that's blocking you has a client score check that you can try here: https://www.akamai.com/us/en/clientrep-lookup/ — to see how they rank you (your connection)

2.) In previous posts you mentioned opening hundreds of eBay search tabs all at once — that can be easily flagged as suspicious behavior by the services, and result in blocking you.

Thanks for the response.

1. Yes Akami flagged the old Ip address as "bad"

At& T sent an new Gateway/router with a different Ip address.

The DNS was changed to Google 8.8.8.8

E-Bay chat denies fault today, Dell chat denies fault today, Microsoft denied fault a few day ago.

2. Just now 5pm EST I was able to open 100+ tabs with the search names as the tab name,

opened a link for sale in each one successfully, after deleting and reloading Windows 11.

3, Opened a second tab with 100+ search names, they all loaded with the search names in the tab, however the 14th tab, when trying to open an item 4 sale: Access Denied, then the same for all the rest of the open tabs.

However that tab would open if individually selected from the folder.

Will try and reduce the size of the searches, but they worked for years and years............

Dells response today: • Below is a practical, step by step checklist to make your Windows + Firefox setup look “normal” and low risk to sites like eBay (Akamai protected), followed by specific settings and extensions that commonly make things worse. • ✅ “Normal Looking” Windows + Firefox Checklist (eBay Safe) 1. Windows (System-Level) ✅ Network & DNS DNS set to Automatic

Settings → Network → Adapter → IPv4 No custom DNS (Cloudflare, Google, NextDNS, Pi hole)

Run once: BATipconfig /flushdnsShow more lines

Why: Custom or frequently changed DNS significantly increases bot risk scoring.

✅ VPN / Traffic Alteration Completely disabled or uninstalled

No VPNs No proxy tools No “secure tunnel” features from antivirus suites

Even “paused” VPN software can leave drivers active.

✅ System Stability Avoid repeated: OS reinstalls Network changes NIC resets

Security systems reward consistency over time.

2. Firefox (Most Important Section) ✅ Create a Clean Profile (Strongly Recommended) about:profiles Create new profile Use only for eBay / shopping Do not reuse experimental profiles

✅ Firefox Privacy Settings (Exact) Settings → Privacy & Security

Enhanced Tracking Protection: ✅ Standard (not Strict)

Cookies and Site Data: ✅ Allow cookies ❌ Do not auto delete on close

HTTPS Only Mode: ✅ Off (or default)

DNS over HTTPS: ✅ Off

Why: Over hardening privacy creates a fingerprint associated with automation.

✅ about:config (Leave These Alone) If you changed any of these, reset to default:

privacy.resistFingerprinting network.http.http3.enabled media.peerconnection.enabled webgl.disabled dom.webdriver.enabled

Rule: If you don’t remember changing it, don’t touch it.

3.Extensions: What to Disable or Avoid ❌ High Risk Extensions (Commonly Trigger Blocks) Disable ALL when troubleshooting: uBlock Origin (temporarily) Privacy Badger Ghostery CanvasBlocker User Agent switchers Anti fingerprinting tools Script blockers (NoScript, uMatrix) Page auto refresh tools Bulk tab loaders

You can re add uBlock later, but confirm normal access first.

✅ Acceptable Extensions (Low Risk)

Password managers (Bitwarden, 1Password) PDF viewers Screenshot tools Language tools

4. Browsing Behavior (Critical but Often Ignored) ❌ Avoid Opening 50–100 tabs at once Rapid sequential item clicks Repeated searches with similar keywords Reloading blocked pages aggressively

✅ Do Instead

Open 2–3 items Pause naturally (scroll, read) Navigate using pagination Use one tab at a time when possible

This matters more than hardware or OS. 5. Login & Account Hygiene Stay logged in consistently Avoid logging in/out repeatedly Don’t test blocks in private windows Do not create multiple accounts to “test”

Repeated tests extend cool off timers. 6. What NOT to Do (Common Mistakes) ❌ Reinstall Windows again ❌ Switch browsers repeatedly ❌ Change DNS/VPN trying to bypass ❌ Follow advice about “spoofing back” ❌ Force refresh Access Denied pages

All of these increase suspicion, not fix it. ✅ Quick Diagnostic Test (Optional) To confirm diagnosis:

Use the same Firefox profile Same network Browse slowly View <10 items over 10–15 minutes

If access holds → problem was behavior + fingerprint instability, not malware.

Final Bottom Line There is no “profile spoofer” to turn off You are dealing with risk scoring, not software corruption Stability + normal behavior restores access Less change = faster recovery [some E-BaY COMMENTS RECOMMENDED THIS]
