Impossible de passer l'étape de la configuration de mon adresse email existante : je reçois systématiquement (en vert) "config' trouvée dans la base de données du FAI de Mozilla PUIS après clic sur "continuer" ET sur "Terminer" , une nouvelle fenêtre avec : "connexion au serveur impossible. La config', l'identifiant ou le mot de passe sont probablement erronée" ; et ce, malgré changements multiples de tous les paramètres demandés !! Même avec config' manuelle et toutes options concernant le mot de passe... Auriez-vous une explication et surtout une solution ?! Merci !

Who is the provider? Some. like Orange, require a separate app password for desktop mail apps.

Hello ! Thanks, but I did all that : changed passwords and even used a quite new one since my provider is Orange. Answers are always the same... My email adresse is sure Ok, and my name has been changed too... I realy don't understand where is the pb. Has someone another light to solve it ? Thanks ;-))

So, you're using the app password in TB that's different from the account password for viewing the account in Orange webmail? Using a VPN? Check that your server settings and procedures for the app password comply with the instructions here:

Many thanks to have reminded me that I need to use the only new password specially given for thunderbird by Orange !!!!! Is Ok I have got my TB account !! JT
