How to Right Click > copy & paste in Firefox when using Google Docs?

I'm using Google Docs in Firefox. Every time I right click and then click paste I get a message explaining that Firefox is incompetent and I need to hook my keyboard up to my tablet and use Ctrl + V. And tap/clicking Edit > paste won't work either. I use a mouse with my tablet, but not a keyboard.

How to I get FireFox to allow me to use Right Click or at the very least Edit > paste? Even Opera Browser can paste in a Google Doc.

Hello,

On what device are you actually using Firefox? What OS version?

I've been also able to reproduce the issue on Windows 11, and have reported it on Webcompat.

This was the case for me with Windows 10 and continues to be a problem with Windows 11.

Firefox doesn't happen to have any clipboard permissions settings, does it? I haven't been able to find anything as of yet.

I tried to disable Enhanced Tracking Protection but that didn't change anything. Same for uBlock Origin and Facebook Container. I don't have any other privacy/ad-blocking related extensions.

I can do everything else in the right click menu on google docs EXCEPT paste. It is listed in the menu as an option, but wants to force the keyboard shortcut. The keyboard shortcut takes extra time, and when I make frequent use of this feature, that little extra time adds up throughout my day. PLEASE fix this. I have checked my about:config option of dom.event.clipboardevents.enabled and it is set to True. I have even set it to False, then back to True to see if I could get it to work, but it still doesn't.

The only way I found to fix the issues was to stop using FireFox. I moved everything to Chrome and the Opera Browser - the Opera browser required a plugin/extension, but it works. Mozilla has always been clunky, but when using 2 different gmail accounts you have to have 2 different browsers open - the only other option is Opera.
