Setting default browser for incoming links; can't add in Attachments

more options

Trying to determine why Chrome is opening up for any links in my incoming email in Thunderbird and can't seem to find a setting for choosing the correct browser. Safari is my default browser on my MacBook Pro.

I am able to get to the Attachments preference but there is no button or obvious way to add another one for http or https

Hi Dennis, Thunderbird is designed to open links in your system default browser. On macOS, that setting is in System Preferences > General. If that is already set to Safari, yet Chrome links are still opening Chrome, then there may be something incorrectly set in macOS. You can force it to correct by setting the default to Chrome, then open Safari and go to Safari > Preferences > General, and click Set Default.

Of course, I personally recommend Firefox. ☺️
