Why is the updated version running in duplicate on my computer?

My computer is running slower since I updated to version 51.0.1. When I open the Task Manager, it shows firefox.exe*32 is running in duplicate with two different amounts of memory being used. Also, the same happens with the FlashPlayer Pluginn (24.0.0.194) when I go to play a game on Facebook.

I've tried uninstalling Firefox and then re-downloading it to my computer but the same thing happens. I'm running 64-bit Windows 7.

How can I fix this?

hi, this is by design and there is no need to "fix" this: https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2016/08/02/whats-next-for-multi-process-firefox/
