I use a Macbook and have set my homepage as google search page. I want my newtabs to be identical as my homepage, no boxes with past searches. I still want my history saved but not on newtab page

There's no preference for changing the new Tab page.

Use this extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/new-tab-homepage/
