I use outlook.com from firefox. Mid Dec 15 I found I couldnt add photos to my emails getting "ERROR ATTACHING THIS FILE". Now xmas has gone I have spent 2 days trying to fix it and have failed. System details: win7 running FF 43.0.1. I periodically clone my system disk to another disk in the desktop for security. Problem: The max file size I can add to outlook using 43.0.1 is between 499k and 502k, so I guess its a 500k limit I am hitting (but I havent got a test file exactly 500k. Same problem reloading with addons disabled.

I switched to my other system disk which hadnt been cloned for a while so was still at FF42.0 and 5MB attachments are fine. All files that wouldnt attach now attach. I quickly disabled FF updates. I tried loads of big files, no problem. I then let it update to 43.0.1 and the problem is back exactly like that on my master disk. Again I am at FF43.0.1, & loading with addons disabled, doesnt fix the problem. I have run out of ideas. Help! (At first I thought this must be an outlook problem but the same account on my win 11 laptop is also ok at FF42 & I darent let it upgrade. I built that laptop in early Dec15 and for FF I copied the FireFox profile from my master disk to the laptop

Well, not long after posting the above its suddenly working. There are a couple of possibilities. One is I am suddenly at 43.0.3 from 43.0.1 when I wrote the above. Unfortunately I didnt notice this until I tried stopping Rapport Trusteer. When it worked I noticed I had been updated so I started Rapport again and it still works. I looked at the Rapport support page and found "Mozilla Firefox 41, 42, 43 (32bit)" is the list of firefox versions supported. Hence it seems 64bit which is what version 43 of Firefox appears to be is NOT ON Rapports supported list. Perhaps stopping and starting RApport loaded a data file update. Either way anyone with this problem can try Stopping RAPPORT...It worked for me
