Have de installed an re-installed the Mozilla Firefox browser already severall times but it keeps on telling me whenever I want to start the browser that and old firefox process has to be closed down before I can open a new window. However, when I completely close down the software in the Task Manager, and click on the mozzilla application, I get the very same message again.

How can I solve this?

You can try to create a new profile to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
