when you open thunderbird, half of the page is occupied by email messages and the other half is occupied by a request for a donation. I have accidentally made a donation a second time. Is it possible to get rid of this page to allow more space for the messages, which appear squashed up?

First, thank you for the second donation. Many users donate monthly and those who do donate usually do so periodically. We appreciate the support. The page you reference is the start page, which can be disabled by clicking to settings>general and untick the start page, which I think is the first entry there.
