Firefox does not respond to iPhone touch screen intermittantly

Occasionally, When using Firefox on iPhone 11 running iOS 16.6, FF 116.0 (33174) does not respond to the touch screen for FF fields, commands, and menus. The touch screen works to swipe and select another app. FF is not my default browser and it is not used frequently except for private browsing but this has happened several times. If I leave FF and return, it is still not responsive to the touch screen. I have had to power down and then back up for FF to work normally. Is there any way to get out of this mode without doing a power cycle?
