error when importing .csv file into address book

Hi

When I use Address Book / tools / import and selct the csv file I want to add to the addresss book I get the message

"an error occured when importing addresses from text file...."

I'm running Thunderbird 78.4.3 on Windows 10 64 bit HP ProBook laptop

Where did the csv come from? Are the separators semi-colons instead of commas? If you export an address book from TB as csv, the correct format can be viewed in a text editor.
