Thunderbird doesn't copy sent mails to server sent folder
I read and tried some things about it but still can't find a solution to make it work.
I have a webmail on Horde and I configured everything on Thunderbird. I am receiving emails correctly through POP and sending correctly with SMTP.
The only big problem I have is that the sent folder doesn't sync with the server sent folder, so that the sent emails are visible only in the local folder of the computer that sent the email.
I already ticked the option to copy the message on the folder "Sent messages" with no result.
I know one possible solution could be to change from POP to IMAP but I would like to know if there are other easier options.

Pop mail account folders do not synch with server, so it is impossible to synchronise the pop sent folder with server sent folder.
Pop accounts can only access and download from server Inbox to Thunderbird pop Inbox.
Pop emails by default are deleted off the server after downloading unless you have set up a setting in 'Account Settings' to 'Leave message on server'. Pop Inbox may show an entirely different set of emails from the server.
Imap accounts subscribe to see server folders and synchronise with server to show what is on the server. Emails are stored on the server. In effect the imap account and the server folders are one and the same.
Even if you download full copies of emails, you cannot rely on them being a separate downloaded copy from the server because the folders sycnhronise.
It does mean 'Sent' emails will be stored on the server and therefore are visible via webmail and any other imap connected device. This is the same for all imap account folders.
It also means anything you delete via other pop or imap connection will delete off server and also delete in the imap copy seen using Thunderbird.
Regardless of whether emails are downloaded via pop or imap, you should still backup your emails.
