emails are coming back bcc even though cc and bcc boxes are unchecked. Username is recent:abc@xyz.com because I need to access emails on 2 computers using pop
I am using pop.gmail.com
My user name is set as "recent: xyz@abc.com"
This is because I need to access my emails on multiple computers using Thunderbird.
After adding "recent" before my username, all outgoing emails are coming back to me as bcc.
In the Copies and Folders tab, I have unchecked the cc and bcc boxes.
How can I remove the bcc feature for outgoing mails? Thanks a lot

I would have thought the gmail specifiy recent would be rejected out of hand when sending mail as it has nothing to do with sending mail.
I suggest you go to outgoing server (SMTP) in account settings and remove the recent part of the user name. It serves no purpose in sending mail, but it obviously has some weird gmail specific effect from what you are saying.
however I have no idea why you would use the recent: thing at all. Just don't remove your mail from gmail with pop. Simple really. THey have option on their site to mark mail accessed with pop as read. That should do to tell you what you want.
Thanks a lot, Matt The reason why I have to use "recent" before the username with G Suite is because I need to access the same emails on 2 different computers using POP. However, once I download and read emails on one computer, they don't appear on the second computer unless I have added "recent." I can't switch to IMAP as I want to be able to delete emails on one computer and keep them on the other. If there any way around this?

Do not use recent in the sending user name. You have two if I did not make that clear enough. One for incoming mail and another for outgoing mail. so remove the recent bit from the outgoing user name.
Great point but no luck. It's only the incoming mail that has "recent" before the username. The outgoing mail settings don't have "recent" and yet, every outgoing mail comes back as a bcc. I should add that when I access my mails through Firefox using Google Mail, I can't see any of my outgoing emails in my Inbox. However, every outgoing mail shows up in my Inbox on both my computers!
