I need to get read receipts from people to whom I send e-mails. I updated Thunderbird to 45.0 version. I used this link for directions http://smallbusiness.chron.com/read-receipts-thunderbird-49612.html. I set up my options as shown in the file attachment. Still don't get read receipts.

Are your correspondents hitting their "send read receipt" buttons? This is optional for them. As a rule, I tend to ignore such requests.

No. My correspondents are not getting send receipt button. I sent myself 2 e mails just to see if I would get the send receipt button. Didn't get it.
