I am the developer of FastF1, an open source Python package for downloading and analyzing Formula 1 race results, timing data and telemetry. The package is widely used in the fan community for independent analysis of results. For some advanced features, the addon requires users to authenticate with their Formula1/F1TV account. Since their services don't have an open login API, a companion addon is required to allow users to sign in using their browser and the official website.

I have just noticed that my developer account has been banned and the addon was blocked in Firefox. I have not received any email about this and don't know why exactly this decision was made. I'd like appeal this and reinstate my account and the addon, but I don't know how to proceed from here.

An Add-on (a theme) I've been using, Graphite Grace by compilan, has been removed with the following message:

"This add-on is blocked for violating Mozzila's policies and has been disabled".

As a user, I feel I have the right to know what policies were violated, and whether the add-on was indeed malicious as well as what data may have been compromised. Where can I get that information?

Hello I am dev from Hanbiro Inc, My Firefox Add-ons developer account appears to have been blocked. I am unable to access the developer dashboard and receive the error: "You do not have permission to perform this action."

Additionally, one of my extensions shows that it has been blocked because the author has been banned.

However, I did not receive any email or notification explaining the reason for this action.

This extension was intended for private/internal use only and was not meant for public distribution. It does not collect user data, perform tracking, or execute remote code.

I would like to request clarification on: - The reason my account was blocked - Whether this action can be appealed or reversed - What specific changes are required to comply with Mozilla policies

I am willing to modify the extension to fully comply with all guidelines.

Hi. I run Pop_os 24.04 linux and have run the latest updated firefox for linux and the latest expressvpn for firefox and am not able to get firefox to connect with the vpn "on". It did work a week or so back but not now. With the vpn on, firefox takes at least 15 seconds to load. I've run the troubleshoot mode and it didn't help. Are there settings on firefox that could be the issue or is it a vpn problem? Thanks

Hello, Firefox has been giving me some troubles lately and I can't figure out how to resolve the problem. Since I haven't found any way to consistently reproduce crashes, it is very hard for me to tell if Troubleshoot Mode also experiences the crashes, and the time I can spend doing that is very limited. As previously stated, it is very inconsistent, but relatively frequent, sometimes it crashes very soon and several times in a day, others it doesn’t at all. Sometimes it crashes with several tabs open, sometimes with only one; sometimes it crashes while using a webapp, others it does so on the newspaper page. It might be more frequent while there are Electron Webapps open, but it's more a hunch than anything, since sometimes it happens without those. There must be a way to turn off this popup off. This is REALLY annoying when it covers a password box and to remove it i must click outside it and I lose focus on the password box. If you must put he box there then at least leave the first part of the password box clear so I cab click on it and not have to click again to get the focus back.

Hello! I just noticed that when I type a keyword related to one of my bookmarks into the address bar, Firefox suggests the bookmark to me—and also, my pi-hole query log shows queries being sent to that domain, even if I don't visit the site.

Is this normal? I'm confused as to whether I should have expected this. I had assumed everything related to bookmarks was stored locally. What information is being sent and requested when this happens? It feels like it could be a potential privacy issue to me, but hopefully I am misunderstanding something!

I understand that security is important, but it it is MY account, MY data, MY responsibility.

When you install FireFox on a new device, then you cannot sign in to your account without entering a confirmation code - that is 'crazy'!!

Why is it crazy, well, first of all FireFox / Mozilla know that it's a new device, so how do they suggest that I get to my email on a new device ??

It's the same as asking for a security code when you setup your email - How do you see that I can get my code when setting up the mail app ??

Imagine - god forbid - that you were to loose your phone and computer, you then got a brand new computer - even with a recovery email address, you can still not log in because the recovery email address also requires a confirmation code on a new device!

On my Mozilla account I have turned of 2FA, so why do I need a confirmation code ?

As mentioned, I understand that security is important, so please do not use that argument.

So whenever I visit a website, or websites, they get added up with my shortcuts on the homepage which gets really annoying because I have to manually dismiss them everytime. for instance, I've marked them with the green circles in the picture attached here. how do i stop them from appearing here?

Some users are abandoning Firefox because of the difficulty of protecting against Firefox fingerprinting. Therefore, I strongly recommend adding an option in the settings that allows the digital fingerprints to be made random, or at least, if it is difficult, to make the fingerprints indistinguishable. I don't really want to disable storage or ALL cookies. But I DO want to COMPLETELY sanitize on shutdown. While this policy is effective AND network.cookie.noPersistentStorage in config has been set True, NEITHER stops Persistent Storage nor cleans it. ONLY manual cleaning (deletion) of persistent storage is available in Settings: Privacy & Security: Manage browsing data. There is no other option available that I can find. One solution suggested a setting that both disallowed cross-site cookies AND isolate other cross-site data but there is no setting like that. There are TWO separate settings for that. Besides, that is not what is wanted.

How can I either completely disable persistent storage - or, more preferred is to completely clear persistent storage upon quitting?!

I have everything else cleared on quitting but persistent storage is indeed persistent. If I have to, I will disable it completely (not preferred) but do NOT want to disable ALL storage use.

Why doesn't network.cookie.noPersistentStorage not work? Or, if it does, what does it actually do?

I would like a policies.json entry for this as I already employ the file in /etc/firefox/policies as described. This is the preferred method for multiple users.

Hey there Mozilla team, Love the new free built-in VPN for the browser and Kit. :D But I have problems with enabling the VPN. I am on Linux Kubuntu and the VPN cannot start. Funnily enough when i turn on Mozilla VPN on device level the Browser VPN does manage the enable itself.

Also I have a question about the Mozilla VPN browser extension. Is support for Linux still being worked on? And could we see the support being implemented soon?
