Hello,

For few days, it's impossible to connect to FACEBOOK. I have the latest version of FIREFOX, but I have to use another web browser (EDGE) to connect to FACEBOOK. The problem is the same with my two computers with the latest WINDOWS.

I was in contact with Bitdefender Support and they suggested the following:

If Facebook still won't open, open Bitdefender and:
  - Go to Protection > Online Threat Prevention > Settings.
  - Turn OFF "Encrypted Web Scan" temporarily.
  - Now reload Facebook in Firefox.

Afterwards, I also had to click on "Messenger" to get all my contacts.

This is temporary since before FF 150, Bitdefender ran with "Encrypted Web Scan", and I had no problem in loading Facebook. So something that changed in FF 150 conflicts with Bitdefender's "Encrypted Web Scan".

Firefox recently updated on my Windows 11 desktop. As of yesterday (4/24/2026) and possibly earlier after typing www.facebook.com in the URL input space and hitting enter, no results at all.

I cannot find the Firefox VPN prompt that they claim is in the top right corner of the tool bar & is apparently necessary to signup for this feature. Can anyone tell me what it looks like or where to find it? Thank you.

On firefox, when loading google maps all the labels (Streetnames, Shops Names etc.) appear for a second and then vanish again completely.

This has happened before, back then I've managed to make it work up to now by using an extension to disable WebGL on google maps, however recently the issue started up again.

I've tried: enabling/disabling webgl; clearing cache and cookies, Enabling/disabling hardware acceleration, updating the browser, restarting the browser, restarting the computer.

Like many I was confused about the recent message regarding the free VPN which is being rolled out. I have no ICON in Firefox, and whilst I now understand that this is because it is being rolled out gradually, I did initially try a couple of things to try to find it. One of these was to sign in to my account, however, when I did this my browser went crazy. Loads of bookmarks disappeared, as did all the folders that I had these filed in, and loads of very old redundant bookmarks that I had long ago deleted were back. It seems that Firefox synced with 'something', but as I only ever use Firefox on this PC, I don't know what. Also, the browser no longer worked - I could search for anything and I got results, but I got a crash message if I clicked on any of them. Using Edge to search instead, I discovered how to roll back a sync, so I did that and now Firefox is back to normal with all my current bookmarks, history etc.. Obviously I am not inclined to sign in to my account again for fear of this happening again. I assume that when the free VPN finally becomes available to me I will need to sign in. My question then is: is there a way of signing in to my account without initiating a sync of any kind so that my browser stays as it is? (I am actually using Edge to ask this question as I couldn't pose it without signing in and didn't want to risk doing that in Firefox!)

I had a problem where FF 140.0 would not update, and in trying to get FF yo update, I used a re-install tool to which I was pointed in my problem report. This caused FF to wipe out my configuration, and I lost all my windows and tabs. I have gone to

    \Appdata\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Proifiles\abnfpged.default

cleared all of the data therein, and restored that directory from a backup I made last Monday. But I cannot get FF to use that directory. "about:profiles" shows only two profiles, but the Profiles directory has five profiles:

Only the profiles beginning with "j" and "f1" are seen in the "about:profiles" screenshot I have attached. And I have attached a screenshot of my profiles.ini file. Also, in the abnfpged.default directory I restored, where is the list of all of my open windows and tabs? FF used to keep that in a sessionstore.jsonlz4 file, but that file is only written when FF closes. I tried to save a copy when I was having problems, but I stored the copy in the same directory, which FF changed during the re-install process. Here is my profiles,.ini file:

I have not worked with the ;profiles.ini file in many years, as my FF configuration has not had problems. Thanks.

You sent me an email promoting your new VPN Instructions ask me to click on VPN logo on the toolbar top right next to the balck circile with a letter in it I don't see it

Since I loaded the latest update, I have great difficulty loading facebook. Most times it will not load even after system restart. It will load under Google chrome. I prefer firefox. What can be done to correct this problem?

Hello, all my bookmarks have disappeared since installing the Firefox VPN. How can I recover them? Thank you for your help. Operating system: Windows 10 Pro Regards.
