Using Windows 10, an Nvidia GTX 1080, and a Panasonic VSX-40 receiver, connected by HDMI.

I recently got a new stereo receiver and have been seeing problems with the HDMI connection. The the image becomes discolored and green at times and stays that way until the receiver is restarted or the input is switched off HDMI and back.

After extensive troubleshooting (replacing cables, updating drivers, testing to reproduce the problem) I have determined that Firefox is the issue.

Playing a youtube video or a twitch stream has a small chance of causing the error. Mousing over a tab with a video in it causes the error almost 100% of the time. The same videos and streams do not cause these problems in Google Chrome.

I have disabled hardware acceleration in Firefox settings and that has solved the issue, but now I have the problem that Firefox is not using hardware acceleration. It scrolls poorly and generally sucks to use this way.

Is there a way to change the way Firefox displays these videos without disabling hardware acceleration completely? Chrome renders them without causing issues, and I've been unable to trigger this error in any way outside of Firefox.

I can login to research.gov on Chrome using biometrics, but Firefox is locked into demanding a passkey I don't have. How can I reset it so it offers the biometrics option?

I tried typing about:config in my Firefox address, searching for security.webauthn.enable_macos_passkeys, then setting the value to false, but that didn't work.

So then I searched for security.webauth.webauthn and set it to false but that didn't work.

I am still being plagued by the same rainbow loading bar on Firefox, no matter what device I use, yet you play ignorant like "we don't know why, maybe it's a extension you're using" yet I am not the only one who has experienced it, the post from 2011 never had a solution that worked. It is like LGBTQP promotion shoved down my throat. Why can't I remove this satanic Loading/Progress bar? Why? Why? Why?

After opening a YouTube page and selecting a video to watch, I get a second page with the word DOWNLOADING on it. Sometimes is just another blank page that goes away almost immediately. This happen often.

been having issues with files lately. i can dl a file and open the folder. if i try to open the file from the browser or the folder directly, the browser window will freeze. additional browser windows are still functional. how do i fix this? no files will open even in safe mode.

When using Firefox browser on my new Windows 10, when I click on "History", the background screen color is sometimes black and sometimes white. I want it to always be white. How do I do that?

somehow i lost all my bookmarks all it shows me in the toolbar is manage bookmarks i go to that click on history says empty where did they go and how do i get them back

Next to the field where a current HTTP:// is entered, there USED TO BE a button allowing me to add another empty search page. Than has vanished. How do I restore it please?

Summary - Firefox crashes repeatedly. yesterday, I decided to switch to Firefox after using Chrome for a while. it worked fine and I synced my data from Chrome. today, at some point I noticed Firefox is no longer open in my taskbar. I decided to reopen it - it crashed. since that moment it has never worked again. I tried launching it in safe mode (firefox.exe -safe-mode), didn't work. tried reinstalling it, didn't work. manually deleted the files from C:\Program Files and AppData, installed Firefox again, didn't work. reinstalled gpu drivers, didn't work. sfc /scannow-ed, you guessed it - still crashes. what else could I possibly try? please help.

When testing our web application, I can consistently get the tab to crash in Firefox (not other browsers). This happens even when running in Troubleshoot mode.

Why would you cancel coverage on FakeSpot? This was a tool used frequently by multiple people that I knew, and what it really feels like is that FireFox is being bought out and removing it to make it easier for all of the scammers to continue to pump us full of fake garbage. Really disappointing to see this service being discontinued and hoping that you reconsider.

Hello! I've been seeing some strange behavior on firefox launch or on new profile launch. There is a popup during startup, can't see it on the screen but I can see it in tray. Is this normal or no? I observed it on two different hp notebooks so far.

I have created several groups (currently 4 with a total of 11 tabs combined). When a group is closed, do those tabs become inactive, reducing their impact on Firefox/computer performance, or do they still remain active and impacting overall performance?

Whenever I try to watch videos on Anime Slayer APK in Firefox, I get a message saying the browser is “unsupported” or the video just won’t play. I’m using the latest version of Firefox on Windows, and I’ve already cleared my cache and disabled extensions, but the issue persists.

Interestingly, the same videos work fine in Chrome and Edge — so it seems like a Firefox-specific problem.

Is there some setting or add-on I need to enable to make it work? Or is this a known compatibility issue with certain websites?

Thanks for any help you can provide — I’d rather not switch browsers if I can avoid it.
