Flowerplayer rewind 15s restarts video – can I fix this?
I use the Boards and Beyond website to watch videos for school; it uses Flowplayer for video playback. This generally works well, but sometimes when I try to jump back 15 seconds using the player controls, the video buffers and then just restarts from the beginning. This occurs always if I push this button twice, which leads me to believe it may be some kind of caching issue. This does not occur with Chrome so I think it must be something to do with Firefox. Any ideas on how I can fix this behavior?

Hi, Privacy Badger and uBlock Origin could be causing the delay.
Please test in : SAFE MODE
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Safe+Mode
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:
- all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
- default theme is used (no persona)
- userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
- default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
- Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
- hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Advanced > General)
- plugins are not affected
- preferences are not affected
TEST .........................................................is the issue still there ??

This does solve the problem! It had not occurred to me that they could be the issue. Oddly, I tried disabling both of these plugins and Disconnect and the problem still seemed to occur, though I think possibly less often. Perhaps these are slowing things down just enough to trigger the weird Flowplayer behavior?
It is possible. You can make a new profile and test with out anything in there and nothing being turned off as per safe mode.
New Profile : Make a new one and test ...:
If is your Profile :

Be careful not to transfer corrupted files, never work with originals.

Hello! So I did create a new profile (I haven't migrated any settings or plugins) and while this lessens this activity it does still occur. It seems like any time it doesn't manage to load the relevant section of video quickly enough (either through rewind or clicking on a specific time) it just gives up and starts over. Not horrible but kind of annoying given how much time I spend watching these. Thank you for your help!
