I recently updated to the newest version of Firefox for mac, but since then wheneer I open Firefox it is telling me I need to upgrade to the newest version?

If your homepage is www.google.com/firefox that page is wrong. Please change your homepage to about:home or some other page.

You are on 8.0.1 which is the latest version.
