Galleries in Artist Communities not Loading

Hi guys,

I browse a lot of artist communities, such as DeviantArt, Flickr, Redbubble, Redgage etc. and in every single community the gallery pictures refuse to load. Consistently and daily. Is this you? Or should I be looking for a solution elsewhere? It's incredibly frustrating.

Also, there is an occasional lag time between clicking on a txt link and having it open. This site included. Not sure if the two are related. I have a near-new mac, and a great internet connection (or at least I thought I did .. maybe they're messing with my head).

You can try to disable IPv6.

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.

See:

  • Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in Tools > Page Info > Permissions
  • Check that images are enabled: Firefox > Preferences > Content: [X] Load images automatically
  • Check the exceptions in Firefox > Preferences > Content: Load Images > Exceptions
  • Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).

If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images.
