What happened??? How do I restor firefox back to the way I had everything where I wanted it?
it looks like mozillo ambushed me, did away with all of my setting I spent years getting where I wanted them and left a folder called Old firefox data on my desk top. how do I make it look and act like the old firefox? I do not want the side bar I want the icons on the same line as the search bar. I want firefox to be my default everything like it was. I hate edge but it seams the only way i could get rid of it was to uninsal firefox and reintal this new pink firefox home page. I want my home page to be foxnews. how do I restore everything from teh old data filke to this confusing new page?

If Firefox starts up after an update without your bookmarks and other settings, check whether your data is available in a different profile:
Inside Firefox, type or paste about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it. The About Profiles page will open. This page should list at least one profile and could list many.
The profile that Firefox is currently using will show:
This is the profile in use and it cannot be deleted.
Please do not delete anything here; don't use any Remove buttons.
Do you have another profile named default or default-longnumber listed on this page? If so, you can check whether it is the one you were using recently by clicking its Launch profile in new browser button.
If it isn't what you want, simply close that new window.
If it IS what you want, click the Set as default profile button for that profile on the about:profiles page. Firefox will use it automatically at the next startup.

Hey. After I uninstalled and reinstalled I finally got Mazillo to accept the old data files and then put what I wanted on the toolbar. Closed the side bar, went into MS setting and made all my defaults back where they are Firefox. I changed to teh search engine i want not Edge or Google. I was just very frustrated with everything being wiped out and not able to get logged in or anything.

Paul must have missed the Old Firefox data mention. Just in case, you should be able to recover any data from that folder (i.e. any of your data). For more details, see Restore bookmarks, passwords and data from an old Firefox profile.
