When I go to Settings Firefox shows that it is the default browser and there isn't an option for changing it to not being the default browser for Windows, Google, and other items that I save to my Documents.

You need to go to Win O/S settings and look at what is set as default Browser as well. Not sure what default browser has to do with Google and other items as mentioned.
