Firefox Icon and browser completely disappeared off my computer!!

WHY? Hacked/Virus??

I can't even download a new version of Firefox for some reason either!! Something seems to be blocking a new Firefox version download as I tried several times now from Chrome and Edge to do so. Even the Firefox icon on my desk top vanished. All my bookmarks are on Firefox version I was using.

I have Windows 10 on my lap top. It's not a Mac.

Please explain the problem in detail. What happens? What is/are the exact error message(s) ?


All computers have a 'view area' that each window should be in. But, sometimes a window gets moved out of the view area.


Do you have the Firefox icon on your quick launch? Right-click on it and select Open New Window. Sometimes this works.

Close the first window. Wait a few moments, then close the browser by Menu > File > Exit.
