I'm getting a pop-up, supposedly from Google, that says it's a Google sign-in to continue with Mozilla Thunderbird - looks suspicious. Is it?

Lately, I've been getting a popup, supposedly from Google, about signing into gmail. It seems suspicious, because I haven't had trouble getting gmail on Thunderbird. My questions: 1) Is it legitimate 2) What should I do

I've tried to attach a screenshot of popup window

1) Is it legitimate

You get this prompt when your Gmail account is IMAP, and you set 'OAuth2' as 'Authentication type' in your account settings. So in that case it's legitimate.

2) What should I do

Follow the instructions.
