Something is blocking access to my Comcast “Full Version” email account. Updates and scans current.

I’VE TRIED ALMOST 2 MONTHS TO GET MY FULL VERSION EMAIL BACK. Calling Comcast 4 times and writing 3 times has not produced ANY RESULTS . After signing in and email page opens – IT SAYS: HELLO AND MY NAME – THEN at the top inside a “blue band” is:

You are using the XFINITY Connect Lite Version - more information

Close

TIME AND TIME AGAIN I TRY TO GET RID OF THE LITE VERSION; SO I CLICK ON ‘PREFERENCE’ TO CHANGE IT. I AM NO LONGER ADDRESSED BY MY NAME ON THE NEXT PAGE WHICH SAYS:

Hello, Guest Hey Comcast…WHY SWITCH ME as GUEST immediately after clicking “Preference”. When I click “GENERAL” in the “green wheel” --- COMCAST LIES TO ME.again and again. Email Version You are using the Full Version of XFINITY Connect

So I’VE CLICKED THE ‘LITE VERSION’ (thinking computer/Comcast stuck) - THERE IS NO ‘SAVE’ BUTTON, it says “saving”. Clicking back and forth---- “saving” always appears and this when Lite Version clicked:

We recommend you use the Full Version of XFINITY Connect instead of the Lite Version to take full advantage of all the features XFINITY Connect has to offer. Learn more about the difference between the two versions here.

Whoever clicked "I have this problem too" --- Have you identified who/what is causing it?

I can access my "full version Comcast email" if I use IE. Unfortunately, I dislike IE vehemently.

FF is my choice and I want to continue using it. Why is it blocking access to "Comcast Full Version" when I sign in with FF?

FF 45.0.1 displays "Lite Version".... AND MY NAME. All attempts to get "Full Version" reinstated fail. Yesterday I noted when clicking "Preference" - the COLOR green wheel has disappeared and the color is NOW BLUE IMMEDIATELY AFTER CLICKING 'PREFERENCE'.

I'm still getting the same old message "You are using "full version"...AND ON THIS WINDOW I'M ADDRESSED AS 'GUEST'.

Let me be clear....I AM NOT.

I am now using FF 46.0.1 and it has not resolved problem created 4 months ago when new FF updated that is preventing the "Full Version" email by Comcast from displaying.

No matter what I do, I'm still stuck with the "Lite Version" email by Comcast whenever I use FF. Something in FF is blocking my access to the "Full Version" email. FF will not let me switch ever since this problem showed up 4 months ago.

I have no problem accessing the "Full Version" email when I use IE.

Win7, cleared history/cashe, disabled add-ons. 46.0.1 no help even w/safe mode - still forced to use "Lite Version" whenever I use FF.

Hello there:

Only 5 views? Are all of them mine? Does anyone else have this ongoing problem? Now using 48.0.1 and still the same problem...stuck with the "Lite Version" of Comcast's email.

I'm either ignored or get the run-around. Comcast Engineering claims it's my browser.

How can that be the case when the problem appeared with 45.0 and Comcast's new Xfinity home page that popped up over 8 months ago? My problem remained constant with all the upgrades to FF 48.0.1?

Would someone from FF please comment?

I'm still running Firefox 47.0.1 for the Profile that I use to access my webmail account at Comcast.

The "Lite Version" labeling disappeared a few years ago, as I recall. Now the settings are labeled HTML and Text in preferences.

No problem with setting the HTML version of email display in Email Preferences -> Reading Email. And the same with Composing email. Both were set as the default the last time Xfinity email was updated.

Thank you for responding to my inquiry. It's not clear to me how I can return to the "Full Version" Comcast email. It switched automatically to Lite Version which I've been stuck with and unable to make the switch back to Full Version.

When I go to "preferences" - it tells me I'm using the Full Version. This is not true. I haven't had the full version since January 2016 when problem occurred.

When I open my email account, at the top it clearly states in blue I'm using the Lite Version...and that is true.

The "preference" page will not allow me to switch to the full version. I've clicked back and forth hundreds of times and nothing happens...except the word "saving" pops up momentarily.

Do you have any ideas how to get the "Full Version" restored?
