I have done every step I can find to change this setting, nothing works, why did this change all of a sudden and how do I fix it, this is ridiculous, why would you change my settings without asking me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

since Vers. 142 I am having a really bad and wasteful time searching for my previous tabs when firefox is closed....initially it worked, but now RESTORE PREVIOUS SESSION IS NOT ON THE MENU UNDER HISTORY.... WHY IS THIS ALWAYS A PROBLEM WITH UPDATES???? IT SEEMS THAT THE UPDATES WHEN LISTED DON'T SHOW HAVING ANY TAB INFO, BUT SURE AS DAY/NITE WHEN I TURN MY DESKTOP AND FIREFOX, TABS ARE MISSING AND I CAN'T RECOVER THEM.

IT WOULD SEEM THAT IF THE DESIGNERS REALLY WANTED TO DO SOMETHING WELL, THEY SHOULD BE TRYING TO FIND OUT WHY THIS HAPPENS ON A REGULAR BASIS.

CAN'T "SNIP" A PICTURE OF MENU, SO HOW WOULD I MAKE A COPY OF IT SO YOU CAN SEE THAT RESTORE PREV. SESS. IS MISSING?

I have a machine I've been using for months and haven't got around to archiving the history and tabs for some research I was doing. I realized this could be problematic if anything happened to the machine, so I decided to sign-in to my Mozilla/Firefox account I made years ago, so it would be safely sync'd.

Everything was fine at first, it showed it was syncing and whatnot, but then after several minutes, Firefox crashed. Upon relaunching, ALL of my history is gone! Neither signed-in nor signed-out shows any history at all, except the searches I've done just now trying to undo this mess. Did I really just loose months of history due to some bug or is there a way I can manually restore or see it from the mess of cache/profile files on my machine?

Ubuntu user, so will be at ~/ or similar for most things I assume.

I'm trying to find out how to keep all the shortcuts I've selected for my Mozilla Firefox Home page. I've filled all 4 rows with shortcuts I've selected, but some keep getting automatically replaced with shortcuts to any new website I've visited, which I DON'T want new shortcuts to !, especially when they're replacing shortcuts I actually DO want !

On February 22, my bank, (5/3.com), decided a transaction I was making using my debit card was suspicious and locked my account. I contacted them and informed them this was a legitimate transaction and they unlocked my account, and everything seemed to be alright, my card was working all seemed well. That is until I tried to log in and check my balance and I could not get in. I then contacted the bank customer service and spent over an hour with them attempting to resolve this issue to no avail. The person on the line suggested that I try another browser so I connected to Edge, entered my log in and password, (which is stored in my Mozilla), and it went right through which proved two things, my password and login were correct and the issue is with Firefox which is very odd to me since it has always worked perfectly as long as I have been with this bank. Again, this issue began when the bank lock my account and as a side note they did the same thing with my wife's account, she called and they unlocked her account and every thing works as before and she can still use her Firefox and gets right in to the same bank with no issues but not me. Again, this started on the date I provided above and I can use any other browser and I get right in with no problem but I am a loyal Firefox user and I want to only use Firefox so I hope you can assist me in resolving this aggravating issue!

The email address box does not accept the email address and comes up with an error message. The only way to send an email is to use a different browser ie Google. Emails are still received as normal on Firefox / BT mail

I JUST TRIED TO OPEN A DOWNLOADED EMAIL AND FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER I WAS TOLD TO ENTER THE PASSWORD TO OPEN THE PDF FILE I TRIED ADOBE ACROBAT AND THEN TRIED MOZILLA WHAT PASSWORD ARE THEY ASKING FOR, WHERE CAN I FIND IT THIS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE THE LAST MOZILLA UPDATE

I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS PERFORMANCE AND CONNECTIVITY . MONTHS AGO ALL MY LOGIN AND PASSWORD INFORMATION WAS REMOVED. i HAVE BEEN ABLE TO START INSTALLING THOSE THAT I COULD BY ADDING THOSE I COULD BUT HUNDREDS WERE NOT AVAILABLE . AND MY COMPUTER HAS BEEN WORKING KIND OF OK JUST RECENTLY I NOTICED AN UPDATE TO MY COMPUTER HAPPENED AND IT IS NOT WORKING VERY WELL

i had multiple tabs set up in multiple groups and i used yo restore these every day when i rebooted every morning and all that is lost to me now. i can see that the groups are there but can no longer use them. how can i uninstall mozilla firefox

When I click on an e-edition link for a newspaper in gmail, the link doesn't direct to the correct site in Firefox. When I use Safari, and click on the e-edition link for the newspaper, the link works as it should and goes to the correct page. I would like to have the link work on the Firefox browser. Any suggestions. I think there might be some sort of security thing/action which is misdirecitng the link. In the past, this problem happened with other sites.

i am on Firefox 148.0. settings requires a directory in which to save downloads although i marked to always ask. i see there was a similar problem 3-4 years ago. i want firefox to always ask where to place a file but it doesn't ask at all. i want it to never automatically save a file.

I was unable to login to Etsy via Firefox. I thought maybe I had the wrong password so attempted to select "Forgot password" button, and was unable to do that either. I was able to login successfully via Google Chrome.

There is a search bar in the middle of my screen (Firefox/DuckDuckGo) It does not work. If I type in it, the cursor moves to address bar. This is very annoying as I am looking at the search bar and watching what I type. Then the search bar fades out so I can't even try to type in it anymore. From what I have read on the forum, Firefox has disabled the "fix" for this problem. So essentially they have made the visible search bar useless and have fixed it so that those of us who prefer to use it are completely out of luck. What does Firefox get out of this? I'm feeling really manipulated and will probably just switch back to Chrome. From reading other questions, I get the feeling they are planning an ever better search bar (can't image what that could mean, all I want to do is search). But why destroy the old one before the new one is ready?

I'm away at another location for a few months out of the year. The computer in the other location is almost identical to this one, done in a very simple manner, by using a backup and then reinstalling everything from previous computer to current, most of which is data.

The Firefox profile is copied over and then the version of the program from that other computer is copied, so the profile and program match. The last step is to disable each add-on individually, then to immediately enable them again. (Otherwise, the browser won't connect to the internet.)

I followed the same procedure today as every single time. But then I noticed the blank new tab add-on isn't working. And upon looking at the add-ons...none of the enabled ones are listed (or working). Only the disabled and recommended ones. I don't even know which were installed, and would have a hell of a time figuring out which ones are supposed to be there, and how they're set up.

Where did they go, and how can they be reinstated?

This has never happened before, and I've been doing this same thing for at least 3 years.
