Sirs,

I have Linux Mint 22.3 Cinnamon in Swedish language/locale. I set up two users with Firefox 146. Then, I upgraded Firefox to 147.0, and set up a third user on the same machine.

For the two original users, the Firefox is in all-Swedish locale. Perfect. But, for my newly created user, some is in English. Examples in English; Onboarding, Search in Privacy, and New Tab/Shortcuts. Web pages is no problem. The problem is in Firefox proper.

Strangely, New Tab is in Swedish (Ny flik), if I do not use the shortcuts, i.e. chose Empty new page in Settings. How to fix? Minor annoyance, but I would like everything in Swedish, as in v. 146. Is it a bug that will be fixed by Mozilla, or do I have to do anything to fix it myself, or is it un-fixable? Or, is it maybe anything in Linux? I understand it is some changes between 146 and 147 regarding a couple of rather important things. Thanks. >>> System:

Hi, I’m facing an issue with Mozilla Firefox where some websites load very slowly, and sometimes pages don’t open completely or show loading forever.

I’ve already tried restarting the browser and checking my internet connection, but the problem still happens randomly. Other browsers seem to work fine on the same network.

Can anyone guide me on what could be causing this issue? Are there any Firefox settings, cache options, or add-ons I should check to fix this problem?

When I have stories (articles) recommended through Pocket on new tabs that I'm not interested in I will typically "thumbs down" or "dismiss" the story. What I have found recently is that causes them to be promoted to me more rather than less. I believe it's interpreting my interaction as engaging with the content rather than not wanting to see it again. For example, I was shown an article on American football three weeks ago and I gave it a thumbs down. Later that day it was three articles. I gave them the same thumbs down. After repeating this process for days, weeks later I'm still getting multiple articles recommended per day related to football. I've never read one out of interest, and I didn't have any recommendations related to sports until the first one I gave a thumbs down. Based on that, I'm convinced it's having the opposite than intended effect. Dismiss doesn't seem make a difference. Please give me a way to tune the algorithm to what I actually want to see, I like this feature and don't want to have to turn it off.

Is there any way I can prevent Mozilla from installing/enabling more AI features on my Firefox browser in the future?

I do not want AI running on my machine. I do not want AI integration in my browser. I understand I will still run into AI in the wilds of the internet, but I especially do not want these features enabled ON MY OWN MACHINE in an update without me specifically opting into them. Installing and enabling this without user opt-in communicates clear disrespect to the users.

I did a cursory search here for similar questions and Mozilla staff appear to be stating there will be no AI in Firefox unless the user specifically enables it, and it is as simple as disabling them via settings if "accidentally" enabled. This was not my experience, and it is alarming to see false information provided to users .

I have found other sources indicating the following must be set to false in about:config in order to disable browser-side AI/AI integration: browser.ml.chat.enabled browser.ml.chat.page.footerBadge browser.ml.chat.page.menuBadge browser.ml.chat.shortcuts browser.ml.chat.shortcuts.custom browser.ml.chat.sidebar browser.ml.checkForMemory browser.ml.enable browser.ml.linkPreview.shift

Is that all of them, will these disable ALL of the AI in Firefox?

Are there any other settings I need to set to false to ensure no AI is either running on my machine or the browser is not integrating AI functionality from third parties?

Is there any way to ensure Mozilla doesn't force AI features to be enabled without my say-so (again)?

Are there any privacy-minded browsers comparable to Firefox that DO respect their users with regards to forcing AI on them? It may be time to jump ship.

Is this 115.32 still in effect for my macOS 10.13 ? Or is it xld as it would be in Feb 2026?

Did or does Firefox 115.32 afford my apple macOS 10.13 enough security until I purchase a new computed.. How much more time do I have.

I just opened Firefox on my Win 11 pc, and find all my tabs have gone. The setting to reopen last session is active, as before. I think FF updated itself earlier today. I also had occasion to look at it briefly on my synchronised android phone. I would like to: - get my tabs back - find a way to stop this haappening (it's not the first time).

If I use extension 'Block Site' (shows up as a stop-sign shaped icon with a 'W' on it) to block a site, when I try to unblock it, it fails, with the below message:

"This operation cannot be performed in incognito mode. Please open the page in a regular browsing window and try again."

I am just clicking on the (whichever) site, from a search - not opening a private window... This extension used to work fine.

I did install DuckDuckGo browser, but removed it, as it was more trouble than it was worth. I would have to reboot my PC after each use before FireFox would connect.

I have tried 4-5 times today unsuccessfully to setup my Firefox browser on my new Mac laptop. Cannot seem to actually receive any emails from Firefox with the verification codes. Have checked my spam filters, no emails sent there. Nothing sent to other email folders. Made sure accounts@firefox is in my address book. Not forwarded to another email address. And have sent test emails to my account associated with my Firefox account. They come thru successfully. But nothing at all from Firefox. Is there an email problem today from the Firefox servers?

A few weeks I started having trouble accessing the aa.com website. I would get this message:

I can access without issue on Edge and Chrome, but they aren't my preferred browsers. And if I use google to directly go to a specific page within the site, such a the technical support page, I can access that, and log in from there.

I tried all of the typical trouble shooting steps, like clearing cache and cookies. None of that helped.

Then today I decided to pull out my laptop and see if I could access aa.com from there. I could, with no issues.

So, this is somehow related to Firefox, but deeper than just the browser itself. But I'm at a loss as what to check next to correct this isue.

Not sure if it's related, but the automated guesses this page makes about my browser and operating system stated that I'm on Windows 10. This computer uses Windows 11, and it came installed with Windows 11.

I received an email from breach-alerts@mozilla.com informing me that Mozilla Monitor⁩ discovered a data breach that includes my personal information: Unfortunately, I don't know if this is a legitimate email from Mozilla. Can anyone confirm if it is or is not?

My firefox is not recalling the history as I move through tabs. It doesn't appear in the sidebar or in the documented history. This only has happened recently, and it's still recognizing my bookmarks. I've done some troubleshooting, tried relaunching in the mode while switching through tabs, but it's still not recalling. since the newest Firefox update, i got today (16.09.25), the audible cloudplayer doesnt work anymore, meaning it wont load the audiobook! I emptied the cache, but nothing changed. I tried the audible cloudplayer with Windows Edge and it works fine, so it is a Firefox specific problem. I granted all websides access to audio and media automatic replay, nothing changed. I am trying to find a way to restore the previous tabs that I had open. All the standard restore procedures out of the History button or elsewhere are not working due to the account change. Here's the background and scenario: Original account created 1 month ago on old Linux PC New PC purchased and Ubuntu Linux 24.04 installed Firefox installed and configured, bookmarks imported from .html file. No sync account was ever signed in to. Open a crapload of tabs that I wanted/needed to interact with (yes, I need a better task management system) Finally decide to log into sync account, successful sign-in Close browser for PC restart. Upon restart, all configurations from 1 month ago on old Linux PC are present, and no previously-opened tabs come back. Restore session/restore tabs/restore browser all are greyed out, no data to access in history anywhere. Signed out of account, closed browser window and restarted. Still displaying config from old sync account even when not logged in (different theme, toolbar settings)

I am unable to locate any files in the pathway Home/snap/firefox/common/.mozilla/firefox that clearly indicate multiple profiles; there is only one distinct profile folder present. I haven't cleared cache or anything, trying to not touch it more. Is it possible to restore or even see the URLs of those tabs from my session prior to logging in to my sync profile?

I depend heavily in my environmental and other work on Firefox and am grateful for its ability to restore previous tabs when my laptop, not infrequently, stops working abruptly.

Now the much-used bookmarks have disappeared. A search site states promisingly:

"To restore Firefox bookmarks, use the built-in backup feature by going to Menu > Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Restore, then select a dated backup or a manual file (like a JSON backup) to bring back lost bookmarks..."

But my Firefox's Bookmarks drop-down menu has no Manage Bookmarks option. PLEASE, what must I do?

Elsewhere I managed to find this file which apparently contains recent bookmarks:

I just installed a new version of Linux Mint (Zara) and all is right with Firefox, except the screenshot who doesn't work. The buttons "Capture the visible area" and "Capture the entire page" don't work. The additional tool in the toolbar doesn't work. What can i do, please? Thanks for your answer. Pierre

Untill last night i could conect with that site https://imtw.ru and its sub forums without eny problem . Today when i press the link i recieve a message that the connection is rejected "Failure to secure connection". As you van see it has the https:// infront and i repeat i was able to connect last night. What may be wrong?
