WinXP + SP4 OS, Firefox 17.0.1, lost functionality of Cisco Unified Personal Communicator phone # autodialer feature, since Firefox 16.

PC under Windows XP (SP4), for past 2 years using a Cisco IP phone, with their software Cisco Unified Personal Communicator (3 upgrades of versions 8.X) it had a useful feature to auto-dial selected phone numbers in MS Office programs, and Web browsers, including MS IE8, and Firefox versions 10 through 16.x. Now running Firefox 17.0.1 (latest as of this date) I lost this phone number autodial feature since upgrading Firefox. The autodialing still functions in IE8 browser (yech) and MS Office apps. Can this be fixed or is there some plug-in or add-on I need to reenable this indispensable utility feature?? TIA.

I rolled it back to Firefox 16.0.2 and regained the lost functionality. Can developers please work on the bug in 17.0.1 to restore compatibility with Cisco software (CUPC vs. 8.x and later)? I'll attempt to post this issue to Bugzilla. Thanks!
