"The URL is not valid and cannot be located" appears every time I try to close a website. Is there now a recognised answer to get rid of this and get back to normal working?
This happened after an upgrade by Firefox. The Firefox opening page also changed and is now not user friendly. I have been unable to retrieve the old one I used before the upgrade.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
