Web sites are still appearing as "visited" (i.e. purple rather than blue) links in my Google search results even after I've cleared the browser history. Why is this? I have Firefox 4.0 for Mac.

This can be caused by a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
