watching youtube,etc firefox keeps downloading like every 7 seconds

I'm watching a show on youtube for example & the show stops & starts to download(circle of dots turning) then show resumes 7 seconds downloading starts again & this keeps repeating itself all thru show,it also happens when viewing shows on veoh.PLEASE HELP very annoying being interrupted while trying to view program.
