No spellcheck for german, firefox in english, ger dictonary downloaded
Hello,
as you can see in the image I can't select German as spellcheck language even though I have installed the German dictionary. My Win OS and the browser use English but I want German as spellcheck as well.
What I am missing?

It looks like you installed a Language Pack instead of a Dictionary. Language packs change the menus and interface buttons of Firefox, while Dictionaries add spellchecking support.
To fix this, head over to the Firefox Language Tools page, find German, and make sure to click the link under the Dictionaries column. Once installed, right-click in any text field, and German will appear under your language choices.

We would be happy to ship German dictionary along with Firefox, but we can't find properly licensed source.
Thank you so much, it works now. Interesting to know, that the reason for it is a license issue.
Language packs are useful for people who want to change the language of the Firefox UI including menus and such with only one Firefox install.
