btw why you using vpn with extension? what not using a normal Desktop vpn ?

Upvoting the FF extension ... after 5 yrs with Nord and their Browser extension having failed to successfully "log in" ... not once ever and their support is woeful, the FF native extension has saved me the hassle of logging into NordVPN everytime I want to use it ... a stupidly complex and frustrating process that sometimes does not even succeed! until a reboot retry! . I'll be buying the full version of FF's VPN when my Nord license ends in December ...

When you only need to hide your browser activity ... far less over head and logging into the application that covers all traffic can be time consuming and sometimes even fail constantly in my experience with NordVPN ... Nords browser extension fails to log in and they could not help, my searches conform it's a common issue.
