when i open firefox on my windows 10 pc, the following appears in the address bar: https://eventseekspot.com/?path=firefox/newtab&u=864940da25d1ae22&subid=11119&channel=1
upon opening firefox the following address appears in the search window:
https://eventseekspot.com/?path=firefox/newtab&u=864940da25d1ae22&subid=11119&channel=1
why? and how do i make it go away

Go to Settings->Home and check your Homepage and new windows. It should be set to default.
