Can I close tabs on one device from a different device (remotely)
This is possible in Safari and is literally the only reason I am sticking with that browser. It's imperative for me to be able to close tabs on my desktop from mobile and vice versa.

So test it... Is your OS and set up.
No, I don't think this is possible in Firefox. Note the Synced tabs expire in about a week, so tabs that show on another device will likely continue showing.
