I have had some trouble with phish-ers. I have gone to great lengths to clean up my account. Today (July 25, 2016), all of a sudden, I get hundreds of error messages from June 21, 2016 flooding my email. What is going on?

Your "you" in your question suggests that you believe there is a mozilla server, or something, involved.
Without seeing any of these "hundreds of error messages" it's impossible to comment usefully.
Do you think perhaps that your "great lengths" might also be part of the problem? What have you been doing to tackle the phishers?
