At any point, you have the option to terminate your Mozilla VPN subscription. By doing so, the auto-renewal feature will be disabled and your Mozilla VPN service will cease to function upon the conclusion of your subscription period.

How you cancel depends on where you purchased your subscription. If you subscribed through Mozilla, use your Mozilla account. If you subscribed through Apple, Google Play, or another provider, you need to cancel through that provider.

Canceling your subscription won't delete your Mozilla account. In case you don't have other Mozilla services linked to your Mozilla account and wish to delete it, check How do I delete my Mozilla account? for details.

Cancel through your Mozilla account

Use these steps if you purchased Mozilla VPN directly from Mozilla.

1. Access your account at https://accounts.firefox.com/signin.
2. In the panel to the left, under Settings, select Paid subscriptions.
3. Find the Active subscriptions section.
4. Click Cancel subscription.

   

5. Follow the prompts to confirm your cancellation.

After you cancel, check your subscription details to make sure automatic renewal is turned off.

Cancel an App Store subscription

If you purchased Mozilla VPN through Apple, you need to cancel the subscription through your Apple account. Deleting the Mozilla VPN app does not cancel the subscription.

On iPhone or iPad:

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap your name.
3. Tap Subscriptions.
4. Select Mozilla VPN.
5. Tap Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts.

Cancel a Google Play subscription

If you purchased Mozilla VPN through Google Play, cancel it through the Google Play account you used to subscribe. Uninstalling Mozilla VPN does not cancel the subscription.

On Android:

1. Open the Google Play Store app.
2. Tap your profile picture.
3. Tap Payments & subscriptions.
4. Tap Subscriptions.
5. Select Mozilla VPN.
6. Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.

Cancel through the Mozilla VPN app

You can start the cancellation process from Mozilla VPN. Where you finish the process depends on the provider that manages your subscription.

1. Open Mozilla VPN.
2. Select the Settings icon.
3. Select the Account option.

   

4. The panel that opens next displays more details about your subscription (you may have to sign in first).
5. At the bottom, select Manage subscription.

   

6. The page that opens depends on where you purchased your subscription:
   • If Mozilla manages your subscription, your Mozilla account Subscriptions page opens.
   • If you subscribed through Google Play, Google Play subscription management opens.
   • If you subscribed through Apple, follow the App Store cancellation steps above.
7. Locate and select the cancellation option for the Mozilla VPN subscription.
8. Follow the prompts to confirm the cancellation.

Cancel a subscription from another provider

Some Mozilla VPN subscriptions may be billed or managed by a reseller, payment provider, or other third party. If Mozilla, Apple, or Google doesn't show an active Mozilla VPN subscription, check the receipt or confirmation email you received when you subscribed.

The receipt should identify the company managing your subscription. Sign in to that provider's website or app and use its subscription management options to cancel.

If you aren't sure which provider billed you, check your bank or card statement and your subscription confirmation email before trying to cancel again.

If you still can't identify or manage the subscription, contact Mozilla Support. Have your subscription information available, but don't include sensitive payment details in your support request.

What happens after you cancel

Canceling stops your subscription from renewing automatically. You can continue using Mozilla VPN until the end of the subscription period you've already paid for.

Canceling Mozilla VPN does not:

• Immediately delete your Mozilla VPN account or Mozilla account.
• Automatically provide a refund for the current subscription period.
• Cancel other Mozilla subscriptions associated with your Mozilla account.
